About This Project
This kitchen began with builder grade natural maple cabinets, vinyl floors, and laminate countertops. The client wanted to have white cabinets and also pull in the warmth and red of her island pendant lights that she loves. We selected Cambria for the countertop, in color Armitage, which has beautiful flecks of copper and red. The backsplash pulled in more warmth with the red’s throughout the tile. The wood look porcelain floor pulled together everything giving the whole room lots of warmth, even with the white cabinets. We decided on a painted island for some definition in the kitchen. We added an extra cabinet underneath the island, lots of pull out trays in the pantry and island for better storage, under cabinet lighting, and a apron front farmhouse sink.
