Project Manager

Summary:
We are seeking a detail oriented and professional Project Manager to oversee day-to-day operations on active project sites. This role includes supervising trades, managing schedules, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining excellent client relationships. The Project Manager plays a key role in ordering materials, handling change orders, and verifying project measurements and specifications to ensure successful project execution.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Supervise all on-site construction activities and ensure adherence to site plans and schedules,
• Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and according to plans and
specifications,
• Order and purchase materials in a timely and cost-effective manner,
• Manage and document change orders, ensuring client approvals and updated cost tracking,
• Verify site measurements and ensure adherence to job specifications,
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors and vendors to maintain project timelines,
• Conduct regular quality control inspections,
• Serve as the primary on-site liaison with clients, providing updates and addressing concerns professionally,
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously,
• Schedule inspections and ensure local building codes and regulations are followed,
• Troubleshoot issues on-site and communicate solutions to the President, subcontractors, and/or client(s),
• Maintain accurate daily logs, progress photos, and site reports,
• Monitor site cleanliness, materials inventory, and waste management,
• Represent the Company’s values and uphold its reputation on job sites, and
• Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned by Company management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• High School Diploma; vocational carpentry certificate or education preferred,
• At least five (5) years’ experience in residential construction required with at least two (2) years in a
supervisory role. Project Management experience preferred,
• Ability to interpret architectural plans, blueprints, and engineering drawings,
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
• Demonstrated skill level with computers and general technology,
• Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a dynamic work environment,
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality,
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation required, and
• Demonstrate integrity and show respect to others.
Physical Requirements – The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:
• Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of job site in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching,
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time,
• Exposure to characteristic construction project dangers,
• Must be on-call to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues at the job site,
• Ability to continuously stand and walk throughout the work day,
• Ability to occasionally sit, push, pull, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, and
• Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer, including frequent use of a mouse and keyboard as well as viewing of a computer screen and other resources.
