This 1911 house had a very oddly arranged master bath and outdated powder room. The bath was the entrance to the master bedroom, which seemed out of place. It included a large corner sauna unit, as well as a smaller “standard” bathroom within the larger room. By creating a small hallway, we were able to divide the bathroom from the bedroom and make a proper entrance. We added double vanities in different locations to create distinct spaces for the husband and wife. A large walk-in shower with a custom laser-jet mosaic, as well as a freestanding slipper tub, stand as the focal point. Traditional detailing such as wallpaper and wainscoting tie the space together.
